16 elementary and jr. high students students participated in the ILMEA District 2 Elementary General Music Festival today. Thank you to Mrs. Higgs for allowing our students to participate!

4th graders created planets and will give a presentation to finish up their unit on the Solar System. Great work!

Thank you to the Cambridge Fire Protection District for welcoming our students and teaching them about fire safety. We are truly fortunate to have such a dedicated group of volunteer firefighters who go above and beyond for our community!

This week we presented Ms. Lana's students with a special gift. A gentleman reached out to our school with a heartfelt desire to honor her memory. He generously offered to donate Battle Pups to every child in Ms. Lana’s class—a gift meant to provide comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that they are brave and never alone. The Way to Battle mission is to spread the message that “no one battles alone” and to help bring awareness to the battles that might be unseen in the world around us. Kindergarteners hard at work creating artwork inspired by Piet Mondrian!

This is an event you do not want to miss!

Kindergarten Signing Day will be on Wednesday, April 16th from 5:00-6:30 at the elementary school. Students and parents will meet both Kindergarten teachers, receive paperwork, and do a small activity. Families will sign up in 15 minute sessions. Please call the elementary office at 309-937-2028 to schedule a time to come visit! Students must be 5 years old by September 1st, 2025 to enter Kindergarten.

The 3rd Grade March Madness Book Competition concluded with a read-off between Mrs. Bibb and Mr. Akers. It was a close competition, but Mrs. Bibb came out on top with Dogzilla!
