This spring, we conducted a Community Facilities Survey, and several of you shared an interest in participating in an outdoor clean-up day. This Friday looks beautiful, so we are going to do a Clean-Up Day from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. If you are free and interested, we'd love to have you join us! We will meet at the elementary school. Tools you might need are weed eaters, trimmers, work gloves, loppers, shovels, and buckets. Thanks!

We still have a few spots available for our preschool screening this Wednesday, July 30th. To schedule an appointment, please call the elementary school at 309-937-2028.

Good morning!
Online registration for the 2025–2026 school year is now officially open! All new and returning students will register online. Please visit www.teacherease.com and sign in to register your child. If registration doesn’t automatically appear, navigate to the top of the page and click on “Miscellaneous,” then select “Online Registration” to begin the process.
If you are new to the district, or know a family who is, please have them call the elementary or high school office to start registration.
If you have not used TeacherEase before, or have forgotten your username or password, please contact your child’s school for assistance.
If you already have a student in the district and are enrolling a new Pre-K or Kindergarten student, do not create a new account. Simply add the new student to your existing family profile. Please call if you need help with this.
Registration fees may be paid online through TeacherEase, or in person (check or cash) at the elementary or high school offices. The offices will be open:
Tuesday, July 15 from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Wednesday, July 16 from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
If those times don’t work for you, please call ahead of time to ensure someone is available to assist you.
We recommend using a laptop or desktop for registration. If you're using a tablet or phone, many users have found they need to download the TeacherEase app to complete the process.
Please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions. Enjoy the last few weeks of summer—we’re excited for another great year ahead!

Congratulations to Mrs. Wood, an Illinois School Counselor of the Year Honoree! We are so proud of her and the difference she makes every day!

🎆❤️ Shoutout to Mrs. Nelson for embracing the "Try Something New" Summer Challenge in true DIY spirit! She watched YouTube tutorials and created her very first Fourth of July wreath — and wow, what a festive result! ✨
It took longer than expected and came with its fair share of trial and error, but Mrs. Nelson stuck with it. Along the way, she gained a whole new appreciation for the talent and effort behind handmade wreaths. 💐👏
Trying something new isn’t always easy — but it’s always worth it. Way to go, Mrs. Nelson!

Check out our openings for 2025-2026!

🐶✨ Shoutout to Mrs. Higgs for another amazing first in our "Try Something New" Summer Challenge! She just finished this adorable patchwork pup—her very first stuffed animal ever! 🧵💛
With lots of creativity and a little leap outside her comfort zone, she brought this sweet little dog to life. We’re so impressed!

🌞 Happy First Day of Summer! We're excited to kick off our "Try Something New" Summer Challenge—and Mrs. Miller is leading the way!
She took on a quilt challenge for the fair, where participants were given a paw print fabric and the task of creating a quilted bag of any kind. With no pattern and lots of creativity, she winged it and made this amazing bag—her first ever! 🧵🐾We’re officially inspired! 🙌

Congratulations to our three beloved retirees! Yesterday, we celebrated Mrs. Lora Fielding, Mrs. Christi Reed, and Mrs. Sharon Hulin. We wish you all the best in your retirement!

For that last day of school Nixon and Nash English got to "Ride a Firetruck to School," an item from the Cambridge Academic Foundation Auction! Their grand entrance had many students greeting them!

Thank you to all the volunteers, Cambridge Elementary staff, and Cirque Amongus staff for an amazing experience! Our students stepped out of their comfort zones, tried new acts with confidence, and created lasting memories. It was an incredible day that brought our school community together in the best way possible.
Thank you for making the magic happen!

Elementary students participated in the 'Big Switch,' visiting teachers from the next grade level to get a sneak peek at what’s ahead.

Our 4th and 5th graders did an amazing job in their play, The Reluctant Dragon! We’re so proud of all their hard work!
A big thanks to Mrs. Higgs and Mrs. Akers for volunteering their time to help make the play such a success. We appreciate all you did to support our students.

Fifth grade students went back into the 80's as they worked through math review problems.

We want to thank everyone for their patience with our late dismissal today as we worked to keep all students safe. Busses left the building shortly after 3:30, so please plan on busses running around 30 minutes late. Thank you again!
Due to the ongoing Tornado Warning, we will be releasing students when the warning is over.
We are looking for substitute drivers and drivers for extracurricular events! If you've always wondered what being a bus driver is like, come and find out on June 2nd!

Cambridge 2nd graders transformed into doctors today as they reviewed math and spelling concepts!
