Cambridge Elementary School is celebrating Mrs. Pine today on National School Principals' Day!

Our first graders released their butterflies today. Pure excitement in their reactions!

What an incredible night of talent! From the amazing artwork by our junior high and high school art students to the wonderful performances by the elementary, junior high, and high school bands and choirs. Excellent job to all who were involved!

Mr. Hamerlinck's class met their i-Ready goals and celebrated with a pizza party!

Preschool wrapped up their family nights this year with a "Preschool Prom!" Students dressed their best and had a great time on the dance floor with friends and family.

Thank you to the Henry County Soil & Water Conservation District for bringing our 3rd graders oak trees to plant as part of Earth Day!

Our 3rd graders had the opportunity to take a step back in time and tour the historic Deere-Wiman and Butterworth Houses today.
Students explored beautifully preserved rooms, learned how families lived in the past, and discovered how everyday life has changed over the years.

Please help us celebrate our staff during Staff Appreciation Week with a staff breakfast on Tuesday, May 5, 2026! If you are dropping off hot items or items that morning, please have them at your school by 7:15 am. If you would like to drop off items ahead of time, they can be dropped off by 3:30 pm on Monday, May 4th. Thank you for helping us show appreciation!

Our 5th Grade Buddy Program wrapped up the year with a fun trip to the Cambridge Natural History Museum and the park!
Throughout this school year, kindergarteners and 5th graders met once a week as buddies and built some really special connections. It’s always great to see our 5th graders step into leadership roles and be such positive role models for the younger students.

Congrats to our Viking of the Week winners!

Congratulations, Hazel Bass, for being our 3rd Book Blast Treasure Chest winner! Way to go!

Thanks to the Cambridge Parents Club (CPC) for organizing the Daddy Daughter Dance this past Friday. We had a great turn out!

Students in 3rd–5th grade created their own characters inspired by Dr. Seuss during Think Tank. They used creativity, problem-solving skills, and the engineering design process to write a short story about their character. They did a great job!

Checkpoint achieved! The 2nd winner of the Book Blast Treasure Chest is Autumn Pollock. Congratulations!

Congratulations to Christian Taylor for winning our first drawing prize: the Book Blast Treasure Chest! Our quest to level up our readers has never been so much fun! We’re blasting through our mission to earn as many books as possible for our students.

Congratulations to our Viking of the Week winners.

Keep up the great work!

The Book Blast has begun! Support an elementary student by donating toward their individual goal, or contribute to the community pot, which will benefit all students. The more money we raise, the more books our students will take home at the end of the school year. Thank you for your support!
