Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase for Cambridge CUSD #227
I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Cambridge CUSD #227 for 2025 will be held on December 18, 2025 at 7:00 pm in the Cambridge Agriculture Complex Conference Room, 300 South West St, Cambridge, IL 61238.

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $3,731,139.7.
The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $4,080,821. This represents a 9.37% increase over the previous year.
III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2024 were $340,670.56.
The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2025 are $237,820.00. This represents a 1.18% decrease over the previous year.
IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $3,971,810.26.00.
The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $4,318,641.00. This represents an 8.73% increase over the previous year.
